Questions

What is a focus sprint?

A focus sprint is a short, timed block of work on one task. You decide the single thing before you start, give it 10, 25 or 45 minutes, and ignore everything else until the timer ends. A short sprint is easier to start than open-ended work, and the clock makes it clear when you can stop.

Does it help with ADHD focus?

Many people with ADHD find it easier to start when the task has a name and the time is short and visible. A sprint lowers the cost of starting, and the drift counter shows how often your attention wandered, without judging you. It is a tool, not a treatment: for medical care, talk to a clinician.

How is this different from the NoDrift app?

This web timer runs the same kind of sprint in your browser and notices when you switch tabs. The NoDrift app goes further: during a sprint it also locks the distracting apps you choose on your phone, using Apple Screen Time, and unlocks them when the sprint ends. One sprint a day is free, with app locking included.
