Privacy Policy
Effective October 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Gawk Digital LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information in the NoDrift iOS app (the “App”) and on this website (the “Site”). The short version: the App has no accounts and no ads, and it never tracks you across other companies’ apps. Your sprint history, settings and app choices stay on your device. The App sends anonymous usage statistics so we can improve it, and you can turn that off in Settings. The Site uses Google Analytics to measure visits, and you can decline it. Both are described below.
Information stored only on your device
The following is saved locally on your device. Your sprint names, typed text and app choices are never sent to us:
- Your chosen focus, sprint lengths, sprint names and sprint history (start/end times, completed or ended early).
- Your answer to the onboarding question about daily phone time.
- Your free daily sprint allowance and App preferences.
We cannot see, access or recover this information. Deleting the App deletes it. The separate, anonymous usage events the App sends are described under “App analytics (PostHog)”.
Screen Time and app blocking
If you choose to lock apps during sprints, NoDrift uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks (Family Controls, Managed Settings). Apple gives the App only opaque tokens for the apps, categories and websites you select. The App cannot see their names or your usage of them. These tokens are stored on your device only, are used solely to shield the selected apps while a sprint is running, and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
App analytics (PostHog)
To understand how the App is used and improve it, the App sends anonymous usage events to PostHog, an analytics service, which stores them on servers in the United States. These events cover things like:
- Onboarding steps viewed and whether onboarding was completed.
- A sprint started, finished or ended early, with its length and focus category, and whether Screen Time access was granted and roughly how many apps were chosen (as a range, never which ones).
- Paywall and purchase steps: paywall viewed, purchase started, completed or failed, and restore attempts.
- App opened or closed, plus basic technical data such as App version, iOS version, device model and language.
Events are linked only to a random ID generated by the App. We never send your name, email, the apps or websites you choose to block, or the names you type for sprints. IP addresses are discarded and not stored. We keep this data for up to 1 year. It is not used for advertising or to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Your choice. You can turn this off at any time in the App under Settings > Share anonymous usage data. When it is off, the App sends no analytics events. PostHog’s handling of data is described in its privacy policy.
Notifications
Sprint-finished reminders are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push notification server and do not collect device tokens.
Purchases and subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment card details. To manage NoDrift Pro subscriptions we use RevenueCat, a subscription management service. When you open the App or make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives:
- A random, anonymous app user ID generated by the App (not linked to your name or email).
- App Store transaction and subscription information (product, price, dates, renewal status).
- Basic technical data such as device model, iOS version, App version, country/region and IP address.
This is used only to verify purchases, unlock Pro features, and provide aggregate subscription reporting. RevenueCat’s handling of data is described in its privacy policy. Apple’s handling of App Store data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.
This website
Analytics
The Site uses Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use it (for example which pages are viewed, how long visits last, the referring site, and approximate country or city derived from your IP address, plus browser, device type and language). Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) that last up to 2 years. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We have turned off Google Signals and ad personalization, and we do not use the data for advertising.
Your choice. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, analytics cookies stay off unless you select “Allow”. Elsewhere, analytics runs by default and you can turn it off by selecting “Decline”. You can change your choice at any time in (also linked in the footer of every page). Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage. You can also use Google’s opt-out browser add-on. Google’s handling of this data is described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Contact form
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, message and your approximate country. The message is delivered to our support inbox by our email provider, Resend, and is used only to answer you. We keep support emails as long as needed to help you and then delete them.
Language and hosting
Your language choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so the Site remembers it. Like any website, our hosting and network providers process technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the Site from abuse.
What we don’t do
- We don’t require or offer accounts, logins or sign-up.
- The App contains no advertising or ad networks.
- We don’t use analytics data for advertising, and we don’t track you across other companies’ apps.
- We don’t sell or share your personal information.
Data retention and deletion
On-device data is kept until you delete the App. Anonymous App analytics events are kept for up to 1 year. Subscription records held by RevenueCat are retained as needed to provide your subscription and meet legal and accounting obligations. To request deletion of records associated with your anonymous ID, reach us through the contact page. To cancel a subscription, use your Apple ID’s subscription settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal information, and to withdraw consent at any time. Because we hold almost no personal data, most requests are met by deleting the App, turning off Share anonymous usage data in the App’s Settings, or declining analytics in cookie settings. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
On-device data is protected by iOS security features. Data sent to PostHog, RevenueCat, Google Analytics and Resend is transmitted over encrypted connections.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and revise the effective date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the App or its release notes.
